The Indian Premier League (IPL), which is entering its sixteenth season, is about to begin. Every IPL supporter is ready to follow and support their club with whatever way they can. The first match of the incredible premier league will be contested on March 31 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad between Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans. There are only seven days left in the competition.

The IPL will resume with a home-and-away match after a two-year break. Prior to the Indian Premier League’s 16th season, each of the 10 IPL teams will be back on their toes, working hard every day to get the most out of their players for the 74-match IPL 2023.

Franchises, though, are struggling since a few crucial players have suffered injuries, and some player confirmations are in doubt. It will be difficult to find replacements for these players. Let’s look at the players who won’t be participating in the 2023 IPL.

10 Injured Players in IPL 2023

1. Will Jacks (RCB): England’s young star Will Jacks has been ruled out of his debut IPL 2023 season because of a muscle injury he sustained while fielding in the England tour of Bangladesh recently. His replacement has been found in Michael Bracewell.

2. Jasprit Bumrah (MI): The strike bowler for Mumbai Indians (MI) Jasprit Bumrah continues to stay away from field following his back surgery. He is completely ruled out of the upcoming IPL 2023.

3. Rishabh Pant (DC): Delhi’s skipper Rishabh Pant is one of the major players who are out of this IPL. Pant is still recovering from his injuries that he sustained during a car accident. David Warner will lead Delhi Capitals in the upcoming season.

4. Kyle Jamieson (CSK): Chennai Super Kings (CSK) faced a big blow as the New Zealand all-rounder, Kyle Jamieson is currently recovering from a back ailment and is not available for the IPL 2023. Jamieson has been replaced by South African pacer Sisanda Magala.

5. Jhye Richardson (MI): The second huge blow to Mumbai Indians bowling attack, Australian pacer Jhye Richardson is also ruled out of the IPL 2023 due to hamstring pull and has undergone surgery to recover.

6. Jonny Bairstow (PBKS): England’s star wicketkeeper batter Jonny Bairstow has been denied NOC by the England Cricket Board, owing to which he won’t take part in the IPL 2023. Jonny hasn’t played any international game after his injury, for serving national duty Jonny is out of the IPL 16.

7. Shreyas Iyer (KKR): Former DC and current KKR captain Shreyas Iyer is also out of IPL. He is recovering from a back injury that he suffered during the IND vs AUS 4th Test. He has opted not to get a surgery and is undergoing through some Ayurveda remedies. If things go well we can see him playing in the second half of the IPL 2023.

8. Mohsin Khan (LSG): Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) pacer Mohsin Khan has recently entered the list of injured players. His injury details are still unknown but sources confirm that he won’t be joining the LSG squad in the whole season.

9. Mukesh Chaudhary (CSK): Chennai Super Kings’ second blow in their pace department as young pacer Mukesh Chaudhary is suffering from a back injury. He is currently at NCA Bengaluru, undergoing rehab.

10. Prasidh Krishna (RR): RR pacer Prasidh Krishna endured a lumbar stress fracture and he underwent surgery some time back. Currently, he is at NCA undergoing rehab process. He is completely out of the IPL 2023 and has been replaced by Sandeep Sharma.
