The inaugural champions, Rajasthan Royals will kick off their IPL campaign on March 24 against Lucknow Super Giants. They will be very keen on advancing to the playoffs this year as they lost the playoff spot on a small margin of two points last year when they finished 5th in the previous edition. This year, their team seems to be even more balanced in the batting order with the addition of Rovman Powell who adds the West Indian flair to the middle-order.
